February 2011 Women’s Council of Realtors Fort Bend Chapter Luncheon
Our monthly meeting held at Sweetwater Country Club was a true “lunch & learn” combined with networking and community commitments.
We were given keen insight into some of our industry woes by a select panel who shared information on Property Insurance, HVCC Reforms and how they affect our appraisals and property surveys.
Some "good to know" information shared by John Godbee of Nationwide is the “claim” follows the homeowner and does not stay with the home.
Howard Hill, appraiser, told us about recent changes made to FHA in regards to appraisals and how they are kinder and friendlier than in previous years.
Our own Chris Lesak of Pro-Surv said it is a best practice to provide a recent survey and to be sure any improvements are professionally noted on the survey.
Who doesn’t like PINK FLAMINGOS??? Well our local Fort Bend Woman’s Center loves Pink Flamingos. The WCR will be “FLOCKING” the front yards of friends and neighbors sensitive to helping the Fort Bend Women's Center on their behalf.
Make a list and check it twice and then add just a few more names!! We’ll get the flock out there right away!! We will share with them how to get the “flock out of
there”~ oh, for a price of course! All funds from the fun flocking event benefits
our local Fort Bend County Woman’s Center and WCR Fort Bend.
Generosity is as close as an arm’s length. Our own Nikki Owen of Prudential Gary Green, is a two time winner. She won the 50/50 drawing and immediate donated her winnings to the Women’s Center!
Other lucky ladies winner door prizes included Joan Berger, Heritage Texas, Wendy Mottern, Heritage Texas, Jacki Pauley, Realm, Dorothy Yee, Remax and Paula Moss of Coldwell Banker.
