July Women’s Council of Realtors Fort Bend Chapter Business Resource Luncheon

July Women’s Council of Realtors Fort Bend Chapter Business Resource Luncheon

Our strategic partners, Newland Communities Telfair and Trendmaker Homes hosted our lovely luncheon held at the Post Oak Grill in Sugar Land.

Our speakers were our own talents and members of  WCR. They spoke about the importance of “designations” on a personal and professional level. The theme was “be better thru learning”. They suggested that when you set goals and annual budgets, include continued education in both.

Our fundraisers are going very well with our top contender being “ BE HAPPY” , a bright and beautiful barstool with the current high bid of $500!!!  Our current bids
Total $2660.00!!

Our benches and barstools fundraiser is a true win/win, the high bidder takes home a unique one of a kind piece of furniture and our Fort Bend County Women’s Center and our chapter benefit from the proceeds!

Bid online at benchesNbarstools@gmail.com, then find us on facebook to check out your status!! Bidding ENDS September 20th. The benches will be on display the month of July at Hypoxi Studio, Steve Fuqua Homes & Amegy Bank in Sugar Land Town Square.

The youngest of the Fort Bend County Women’s Center were recipients of new back packs, pencils, glue, water bottles & many more items that are necessary to get them back in school. What a great site to see a huge SUV packed with school supplies. It was Christmas in July, and thank you all for your generous hearts. In addition to supplies, $75 cash was donated at the lunch event.

We will have a joint meeting with HAR on August 18th @ Sweetwater Country Club.

Air Conditioning trouble shooting guide from Atlantic Service and Supply

What can I do before calling someone
 to service my system?

HVAC systems are complicated networks of machinery that should be serviced by a certified professional. However, if your HVAC system seems to be malfunctioning, you can try a few basic steps, which may correct your problem, prior to calling a service professional. If you do not feel comfortable performing any of these tasks, however, do not hesitate to call an HVAC contractor.  Atlantic Service and Supply 800 422-0959

Disconnect and reconnect your indoor and outdoor switches.
Make sure your circuit breakers are in the ON position.
Make sure your filters are clean.
Open supply and return vents and make sure they are unobstructed.
Check the settings on your thermostat.
Make sure the system switch is on the appropriate COOL or HEAT setting.

Allergies and odors in your home getting you down?

The EPA reports indoor air is 10 to 30 times more likely to be unhealthy than the air outdoors.  Mold, allergens and toxins can grow in the duct work of your home, especially in very hot weather.  CleaneAir Services can treat your home in just hours to sterilize the surfaces and air in your home using technology originally created for use in hospital operating rooms.  CleaneAir Services 832-276-6000
